Developed to run within MATLAB, sigTOOL provides a programming and analysis environment for processing neuroscience data. Byte Works has released version 2.0 of techBASIC, a US$14.99 scientific and educational programming environment for iOS that can be used to pull in data from internal (accelerometer, magnetometer, and gyroscope) and external sensors. Because the students begin their research already proficient in MATLAB, they can take full advantage of the MATLAB environment for data acquisition, post-processing, real-time analysis, and GUI development. I was wondering if there are plans in adding to RStudio a layer, maybe a plugin system, in order to expand it from being only a development environment into a full fledged analysis environment, like Matlab or RKWard. It is an interactive computing environment and fourth generation programming language for numerical computation, algorithm development, and data analysis. Oceanography, Civil Engineering, or related discipline demonstrated experience with climate system modeling and/or climate model analysis, and programming skills to include data analysis/visualization in a Linux environment (e.g. Matlab is a business application developed by MathWorks, Inc. A common question I get from students and experienced colleagues is “What analysis environment do you use?”. In case the name Byte Works While techBASIC isn't nearly as high-powered as MATLAB, it's more amenable and affordable to those who want a lot of the same capabilities to analyze and visualize data. MATLAB® is a high-level technical computing language and interactive environment for algorithm development, data visualization, data analysis, and numerical computation. Where I work most people use either IDL/Envi or Matlab for raster data analysis.
